A Little House Bed and Breakfast

A Little House Bed and Breakfast is a great placefor a single person or a small family to stay while visiting Naknek. From April until late October, A Little House offers a bedroom with two beds (one full-size and one twin), a walk-in closet, bathroom, and a fully furnished kitchen and dining room/living room area where you can make yourself feel at home. Amenities include a telephone and Dish Network TV, refrigerator and microwave and we provide a full self-serve breakfast.

Naknek lies only about 45 miles away by plane from Katmai National Park famous for its volcanoes, brown bears, fish runs and rugged wilderness. Also nearby is the Brooks Camp, one of the most densely concentrated archeological areas in North America. Violet’s family, of Norwegian Aleut heritage, maintains a set-net site on the Naknek River where they’ve fished for summer Sockeye Salmon since 1955. Visitors are invited to take a jaunt down to the river’s edge and observe the summer catch. The height of theseason is around July 10. Violet’s husband crafts knives and traps animals in the winter, selling the hides and furs of beaver, otter, wolf, fox wolverine and lynx. We’d love to meet you here in Naknek.
How to Get Here: Visitors arrive by plane to King Salmon and drive the 15-mile road to Naknek.
